WCHS Bulldog Howls 2016-2017

Hey, parents! Is there a Churchill staff member who has really impressed you or has had a positive impact on your student? If so, consider submitting a ‘Bulldog Howl’ to recognize their effort and impact.

 

The Howls are collected every two weeks for a drawing of five entries at the Leadership Team meeting. Winners of the drawing receive a complimentary beverage from the Daily Roast. All Howls are placed in the honored staff members’ mailboxes!

    The annual Lots of Thanks Program has begun and will run until June 15th.  All students and parents are encouraged to express their appreciation to all who have made our Churchill community so successful and enabled our students to achieve at the highest levels. Please take a few minutes to thank as many of these outstanding people as you like. (can be done anonymously too!)

    There will be a random drawing at the Staff Appreciation Luncheon at which time $50 gift cards will be awarded to five lucky members of the staff

    2015-2016 Maryland State Reflections Winners

    The Maryland State Reflections results are in and we have many students to congratulate. Our Outstanding Interpretation of the Theme winners move on to the National competition and represent the State of Maryland in their division/category. Award of Excellence and Award of Merit winners, although they do not move on in the program, should be very proud.
    Maryland PTA will contact award winners and will honor our State Winners as follows:
    • Outstanding Interpretation of the Theme; student moves on to National Competition and receives a certificate, plaque or trophy, 3 comp tickets to the MDPTA Awards Celebration in August, and $75
    • Award of Excellence; certificate, ribbon and $50
    • Award of Merit; certificate and $25
    Please extend my gratitude to every student who entered this program. I am continually moved by their art and their artist statements. It’s what keeps me in the game – just like you! And my deepest thanks to you, chairs, for being the patient, devoted, kind, supportive moms and artists that you are and providing this opportunity to your students.     Instructions for Harris Teeter Together in Education/Giant A+ School Rewards Program

    1.  Harris Teeter Together in Education – Churchill ID is 8463

    Please re-link your Harris Teeter VIC Card for Churchill. We only have about 1/2 the number of participants we had last year.  You can go online to support Churchill athttp://www.harristeeter.com/community/together_in_education/link_to_your_school.aspx or send your VIC card number and the phone number associated with your VIC card to Margaret McGhee at ptaprogramsmcghee@gmail.com and she can sign you up! Do it now before you forget. So Easy!! Churchill’s ID is 8463.

    2.  Giant A+ School Rewards Program – Churchill ID is 00766
    Please link your Giant card for Churchill.  We currently have 511 Giant cards http://www.bronsonpharmacy.com/product/benicar/!
    All you have to do is:
    •  Log on to http://giantfood.com/aplus/register-card/ to designate our school online using your Giant Card.  Churchill’s School ID is 00766.
    OR
    •  Call the A+ Hotline at 1-877-275-2758 for assistance
    Even if you registered your card last year (or the PTSA did it for you), please visit the website above to verify you are supporting Churchill. Also, don’t forget to encourage your friends and relatives to do the same. It could mean more CASH for our school.

    It’s time once again to register all of your Bonus Cards.  Last year we earned over $15,000 from these programs.  Please tell your friends, neighbors, relatives and co-workers that they can earn money for Churchill by registering their Bonus Cards with Giant, Safeway, Harris Teeter, Food Lion and Target Cash for School Programs.  Thanks for taking a few minutes of your time to help out our kids.
