One scholarship of note is for Black and African American students in grades 9 - 11 who have at least a 3.0 GPA.
The STAR Montgomery Scholarship Foundation invites you to apply for a $1,000 scholarship. Information packets are found in the Career Center. Please return the completed packets to Mrs. Lewellen.







MD Higher Education Commission

MHEC is the State of Maryland's higher education coordinating board responsible for establishing statewide policies for Maryland public and private colleges and universities. MHEC also administers state financial aid programs that affect students on a statewide basis.
Maryland’s colleges and universities offer every kind of educational experience, whether for the traditional college student who goes directly to college from high school, or for students who have already begun their careers and want to learn new skills.







Financial Aid for College

The aid from these programs allow students and their families to cover school expenses, including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation.

To receive federal student aid, a student must be enrolled in an eligible program at participating postsecondary institution, whether it be a two- or four-year public or private college or university, career school, or trade school.
